Hello Everyone!

My fiance and I are getting married in Mexico in May of 2008. His sister will be having a baby in December and we just found out that my brother and his wife are trying to have a baby. We have a no kids rule because we want an adult wedding and have everyone participate in all our activities for our wedding and not worry about someone being left out to care for their baby. Is there a minimum age for children? I've heard that some resorts only allow children 2 and up...not babies....has anyone ever been to a resort and seen quite a few babies? I just don't think it's a good idea since it's so hot! Any info/advice would be most helpful!

Hi there...
I am getting married at the Occidental Grand Cozumel in May 2007. My cousin just had a baby boy - which means he will be 8 months when he attends my wedding in Mexico.

I have heard that the Occidental Grand is not a good resort for children but that just means they don't have children's programs, etc... An infant is an entirely different situation.

My suggestion would be to look into babysitting services at the resort/venue you choose for your wedding in Mexico. Or perhaps they can bring someone along that can take care of the children while the adults are enjoying the wedding festivities.

I hope this helps a bit...

I understand... we were in the same situation as you. We're getting married in Puerto Vallarta and yes... there will be babies. We really wanted to go to an adults only resort but that would have ended up being hard on the family.

You can look at baby sitting service... but in our case the mommies are so worried about strangers watching their babies that a few of them pooled their money to fly in thier nanny so the nanny will be at the wedding watching the kids.

My son will be 2 when we get married and my sister is trying to have a baby and we were looking at mexico. There are tons of resorts there that are kid friendly and that have nanny service. Try the Dream resorts. They are beautiful and family friendly.
